How people join
Genesis Talent Academy
Our own engineering pathway, for Scholars entering at the beginning and Fellows entering with experience. Six specialisations. Scholar places and Fellowships are open now. How it works →
Permanent engineering
Direct roles for engineers with production experience in Python and Django, React, React Native, cloud infrastructure or security. Most permanent hires now come through the Academy.
The professional panel
Independent specialists engaged per project under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work — engineering, data, infrastructure, security, design and delivery.

Evidence of building things
Before credentials
A repository, a shipped project, a problem someone solved because it was in front of them. Degrees matter; what you have actually built matters more, and it is what we ask about first.
How you handle being wrong
Our engineering discipline rests on people pushing back when a brief is mistaken — and on accepting a correction without defending the error. Both halves are the job.
Explaining your work
Every system we build is used by people who are not engineers: registrars, lecturers, parents. If you cannot explain a decision to them, it is not finished.
Care about the record
We build systems whose entire value rests on their records being true. That requires a temperament that finds a wrong number intolerable rather than inconvenient.

Technical assessment
A practical exercise in your chosen track, reviewed against the same standards a production change would face.
Interview
How you reason about a problem you have not seen, how you respond to being told you are wrong, and how you explain your work to a non-engineer.
Offer and placement
Onto the Academy pathway, into a permanent role, or onto the panel — with a named specialisation and a mentor.
